This is one book that I would highly recommend to anyone who is in the beginning stages of website development. This appears to be one of a series of books, and I would consider this to be a good starting point.

I really liked this book for the plain fact that it explained the missing pieces of my understanding of CSS. Within the first couple chapters I was ready to rock and roll.

This book is like one big tutorial, which usually isn't my best way of learning. However, the book is set up so you don't have to follow along with your own computer, just with the screen shots provided. This makes it a great book for a plane ride(!) - Just don't wait too long in between times you read the book and actually try your own coding in between chapters.
